I am an experiences sewer, crafter, and DIYer having done all my life as well as being an applied arts minor (silversmithing, lapidary stone cutting, weaving, enamel work, etc.…). Ts is about a simple a toll as you can get. Its kind of like an open-eyed needle. Use the open eye or tip to grab the loos thread and push it to the back of the garment or material. I usually try to intertwine loose threaded within a thread like when darning so it doesn’t easily com back to the surface. Its that simple. I however was not expecting how coarse this tool was. I just assumed it was longer and easier to hold than the ones I have seen at the local craft store, but that was a mistake. This is more applicable to coarser fabrics and weaver like a heavyweight denim or burlap or something. This size is not what you would use in a cashmere sweater or a piece of lace unless you want to ruin it. It’s like sewing needles, using too large will distort the fabric threads which may break or never go back int proper position, this size is for coarser yarns like chunky not sock weight. I just find the smaller ones hard to hold and never deemed they made ones the size of some of my flex shaft (it the professional grade tool Dremel is modeled on0 silversmithing and lapidary stone setting drill bits. So, it should be perfect for coarser heavyweight garments and fibers.
