Everything needed for the project was neatly packed within the kit – from the essential alginate and casting powders to a user-friendly bucket, gloves, and even paint (I did not end up painting the finished piece so I cannot speak to the quality of the paint). The convenience of having all the necessary tools in one package saved me the hassle of running around for additional supplies, making the entire process seamless.Training Wheels:The inclusion of a practice molding powder was a game-changer. This thoughtful addition allowed me to familiarize myself with the process before diving into the main project, ensuring that I made the most of the kit without any unnecessary wastage (I do have to mention you only get enough materials for one cast.)Minor Setback:While the DIY Hand Casting Kit is undoubtedly a gem, the only drawback was the challenge of keeping my hand perfectly still until the casting mold set. I did only cast one hand, instead of holding hands with another person which might have affected the stability. It would be fantastic if the kit included a mechanism to secure the wrist in place during the setting process. This minor inconvenience, however, did not overshadow the overall positive experience with the kit.
