This worked great! I shot my target buck this season with my bow, all season his rack was normal, but the evening I shot him and walked up on him I saw half of his right antler was gone. He had his main beam, browtine, and G2 in tact but his g3 and rest of main beam were broken off right after his g2. I don’t know if he walked in that way or it broke somewhere when he crashed. I looked near every single drop of blood and never found it so I assume he walked in that way and I was just locked on the vitals. In any event, I was definitely bummed out so I googled antler repairs and watched several videos and I decided on this product and I gotta say it came out pretty good for someone who’s never done this type if thing before. I drilled holes in antler and used cut pieces of heavy metal hangers and glued the pieces in place and bent as close as I could to match the other side. Then mixed the epoxy and shaped them out. One thing I did thay definitely made it easier once the basic for was made was I had a small cup of water that I’d dip my fingers in while smoothing out the antlers I just made, I was able to get the stuff really smooth using the water and I also used a tooth pic and was able to put smooth groves in the antler so it looked natural. My only issue after it dried is as much as I played with the colors and tinting, or lightening the paint I got a pretty good match but it isn’t perfect. I’m sure if I got some more paints and played around I could get it perfect but I’m still very happy with how it came out. I’ll post a pic and you’ll probably be able to see where the added piece of antler was used but only because of the color, as far as the wire and the epoxy goes the shape came out exactly how I wanted it to. This kit would also be great for broken tips that are less involved then rebuilding almost half an antler. You can see where I am pointing, that entire piece is what was broken off. Give it a try I’m sure others can match the paint better then I did.
