Household cleaning: Bicarbonate Of Soda

We use bicarbonate for so many things. It is great for washing clothes or adding with our normal laundry cleaner to keep the washing machine clean and stop it clogging up with detergent. It works out to be cheaper than buying “Calgon”. Bicarbonate also works great to clean stubborn stains in toilets when used with white vinegar. We also used it a lot for soaking up urine when our children were wetting the beds. It helped us get the mattresses drier more quickly and without smells. I have also used bicarbonate on the surface of a cut lemon to clean through grease in the oven or to clean the fridge and get rid of unwanted smells. Amazing stuff, so versatile.
