Blue Sky Outdoor Living 28″ Round Smokeless Fire Ring Insert

The media could not be loaded.We wanted to install a smokeless fire pit and saw this 36 inch square ring already manufactured with all the holes ready to work and ordered it. It came very well packed and was undamaged even though it had obviously been handled poorly.The ring was very easy to assemble and took about a half hour. There was a small dent and blemish on the product but it was in a spot that was covered by top lip so it absolutely did not affect the finished look. The directions gave no advice on air flow to the ring from outside of the brick structure but I went ahead and added two holes on the second course of bricks per side that were 2 x 3 inches or thereabouts. I bought the stone at the local home center and used about 60 large 60 medium and 80 small pieces. We followed normal construction techniques for a fire pit and leveled a area with stamped sand over crushed rock. We then used adhesive to bond all the stone together one row at a time after a dry fit.Once it was finished and we started having fires it was clear immediately that this ring puts out very little smoke. Even with smaller fires it cuts down on smoke, which surprised me. We can sit all around the fire and enjoy it without moving constantly away from smoke. It has been about a month now and we have had fires almost every night and there is no sign of scratches, peeling paint or rust . I am glad we bought this well manufactured fire ring and highly recommend it.
