Each tablet provides 324mg of betaine hydrochloride together with 5mg of pepsin. Betaine HCl supplies hydrochloric acid of the same type the stomach naturally releases, and the formula is designed with older adults in mind, whose natural production may be lower. It is free from wheat, barley, soya, eggs, milk, lactose, nuts, sulphites and gluten. Take 1 tablet with each main meal, up to 3 per day. Not suitable for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with peptic ulcers.
